Julia Rick is recognized as the most accomplished female wakeboarder in the world. Originally hailing from Cologne, Germany, Julia discovered her passion for wakeboarding in 2009 while playing soccer for the Second German Football League. Julia continued to excel in soccer until April 2012, when she decided to fully engage in the sport of wakeboarding as a professional. It was this same year that Julia would participate in her first wakeboarding competition, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Since making the move to exclusively compete in wakeboarding, Julia has earned the titles of World Champion, European Champion and World Cup Champion (multiple times each). Julia has also won “Trick of the Year” as the first woman to ever land a 1080-degree rotation on a wakeboard, and she’s earned a place in the Guinness World Records for most inverts on a wakeboard by a female.
Julia loves to travel the world sharing her love of the sport and continues to push the limits of women’s wakeboarding while encouraging youth to participate.
